The saxophone was full adjusted, regulated, disinfected and oiled. I personally replaced the original lower stack and bell pads this month. This is a good instrument with solid intonation and tone. This item is also for sale on ebay Grassi Professional 2000 (original made in Italy) Alto Saxophone Lacquered body and neck and nickel plated keywork This saxophone is an excellent player.Conditions are very good overall with just some little dings on the bottom. The tone of the horn is middle to dark European sound as its a high copper content horn. The engravings on the bow and bell are in good condition. The Nickle plated keys are tarnished as expected for a 50+ year old horn. Lacquer is 85%, with speckles, pits and minor scratches throughout the horn. Its original lacquer with Nickle plated keys. So I rebuilt it and now its ready to go to a new home. (Is that possible?.) This alto has been sitting in the closet for 40 years and it deserves to be played. I bought it for about 650 a while back, and Ive since stopped playing because it needs a few repairs that Ive not gotten to making.
